Went here to eat brunch but they said they only do brunch on weekends. Service was good and I ordered tavern stack burger. It had tomato jam and it worked with other ingredients. We ordered corn bread for appetizer. It was really good too. Definitely will visit again to try brunch if i have chance.
A great restaurant with really excellent food. However, I do agree with some of the other comments that the food quality to the price does not exactly add up. The food is really good but is 20% high.
We went to The Whitney House for our anniversary dinner and had an incredible time. We sat on the tavern side which felt quieter and more intimate on a Sunday night. The staff were all very personable and made it a point to congratulate us, and even brought us complimentary champagne. The entire meal, from starters to dessert, were excellent and came out very quickly.
I have to say, I’m surprised at how good this was. Granted it’s your typical new American Midwest bistro food; with a fine touch. Everything from start to finish was either pretty good or very good, and the service was excellent! A little slow but Frank made up for it very much. The atmosphere was calm not too snobby or anything, just very well rounded and upbeat, slightly low lit. Reminds me of kitchen social, maybe better. Outstanding!
Enjoyed a great Sunday brunch! I loved the quaint atmosphere, and the coziness of the restaurant. They also has great outdoor patio seating. The food was wonderful and one of the best eggs Benedict I’ve had! I would definitely recommend that as well as the Belgium waffle and French toast. Service was wonderful and attentive. I would definitely frequent here again when I visit Columbus.
An absolutely stunning and delicious time here at The Whitney House. Our friends invited us up from Dayton and this was hands down the best selection. The food was on point. The service was amazing with our server being hilarious throughout it all. Did I mentioned the environment itself was so comfy. Highly encourage you to try and make sure you get dessert!
I was visiting the Columbus area last weekend and lucked upon this place. 1. The hostess was excellent, welcoming, and helpful. 2. Executive Chef was very nice, asked if we needed any information on the dishes. 3. Our server was very friendly and attentive. 4. The food is 10/10, but the one adult beverage... with Woodford Reserve and pineapple, lime juice, etc. If you know the menu, you'll know. 11/10 if that was a real score! Will be coming back in late August!
Phenomenal brunch on a Sunday. Their outdoor seating is very enjoyable as it lets you check out what’s happening on the Main Street. I appreciated the umbrellas to shield us from the bright sun. Food was excellent - we had the cornbread, egg sandwich, hash, and classic eggs with potatoes. Very good brunch.
